Flow of Faith

I lift up my heart to You, please give me / I ask for faith

Elul is the Hebrew month immediately before the High Holy Days when we are to take an accounting of our souls and do the deep inner work of preparing ourselves to meet our Creator.

As I faced some on-going challenges I realized yet again that I lack faith, not in God per se, but in life. Due to some trauma and loss early in my life, I think it is hard for me to have faith that things will turn out well. As I knelt on the floor praying to God, these words emerged as a deep call to develop faith. And I am still working on developing my faith muscle.
