Everything Beautiful in Its Own Time

Ecclesiastes 3:11

Et-Hakol asa yafeh b’ito, gam et ha-olam natan b’libam

Translation: [God] makes everything beautiful in its time, and also hides the universe in their hearts.

 

To me this practice helps to imprint that the timing of things in life is often not according to our own timing. There is a timing on the God level and it is up to us to understand this accept it and work with it. The unfolding of the universe and of our lives happens when the timing is right according to cosmic timing, not necessarily our own.
