Great Love: Ahavah Rabah

Ahavah Rabah Ahavtanu

Translation: With such a great love You have loved us.

 

In 2012 Freddy and I were fortunate enough to travel with Rabbi Shefa Gold to visit the Grand Canyon.

We stayed on the North side and during Shabbat Shefa introduced this chant of Great Love. We chanted it for what seemed like hours on end. Later that evening we traveled to see the full moon rise. As I snapped my pictures I was astounded to see that one of the full moon pictures came out as a heart. Could I explain it away as a double exposure perhaps? or maybe all the love energy I brought with me from chanting this for so very long got superimposed onto the moon picture! May it serve you well to bring great love into your own life, and for that energy to pour forth from you.
