Time To Rewrite My Story

It is the dawn of a new time
The dawn of a new tale
It is time to rewrite my story.

It is time to rewrite my story 2x
It is time, time to tell a new tale
faith not fear
love not judgement
forgiveness, compassion, acceptance.

 

We are all familiar with updating things. We buy a new phone as soon as Apple starts marketing it. We update our hard drive with more capacity and new software and “app” updates that are always flashing on our phones. But why is it that we human beings often get stuck in the loop of our old stories? Where is our reminder to click “update” and do a rewrite.

It was well overdue. The story I had been telling myself all these years was no longer accurate and certainly didn’t serve me. It was time to update and rewrite my story. The old story was that I am, was and will always be broken.

Maybe some of the following will resonate with you and the stories you tell yourself: I am not enough and never will be; I don’t deserve full unabashed happiness; I don’t deserve to be loved; its always my fault, I am alone and no one really sees nor understands me.

Maybe it’s time for you to rewrite your story….. Once upon a time….
